Laura Wooten has a B.S in Elementary Education K-12/Collaborative from the University of Montevallo, as well as an M.Ed in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. Prior to working as an academic coach for SKILL, Laura enjoyed teaching in the classroom for over ten years as a Special Education teacher for many school districts around the state, advocating for the needs of students and working directly with students to create and reach their post-secondary academic goals. In her free time, Laura enjoys traveling, playing chess with her son, and walking her dog.
