About
SKILL Academic Coaching at Auburn University is a fee-based academic support program housed under the Office of Accessibility. SKILL is designed for students who learn differently and serves students with ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, depression, anxiety, or other conditions that affect learning. The program provides accountability, structure, support and skill-based strategies to help students reach their academic goals.
WHAT WE DO
SKILL students meet weekly with a professional academic coach to create weekly action plans, monitor grades, learn study strategies, and connect to campus resources. The one-on-one meetings are in person and take place on the same day, at the same time, and with the same coach each week. Between meetings, SKILL coaches are available to students via email or text for questions or concerns that arise between during the week. Study skills, time management, decision making, organization, planning, effective and professional communication and academic progress are naturally incorporated into all coaching sessions.
