SKILL Academic Coaching

content row

Applications for SKILL Academic Coaching are accepted and processed year-round on a first-come, first- served basis. Students are encouraged to apply for SKILL as soon as they make the excellent decision to apply to Auburn. Once an application is received, students will receive an email informing them of their place on the SKILL waitlist. Please make sure your email account is set to accept messages from skill@auburn.edu.

Once a spot in SKILL becomes available, emails offering a spot in SKILL will be sent to both student and parent. Students will have two weeks to reply to this email and accept their spot in SKILL Academic Coaching. When we receive confirmation of your acceptance of your spot in SKILL, we will send you an email containing next steps for completing intake paperwork and scheduling an intake meeting for students and parent(s). Intake meetings are conducted on Zoom and should be scheduled at a time that is convenient for both student and parent(s). Please do not schedule your intake meeting during your Camp War Eagle session. You are going to receive so much great information at CWE, and we don’t want to distract from that amazing experience.

The Waitlist

We do our best to move through the waitlist as efficiently as possible. We do not know how far down the waitlist we will get in any semester. Students currently enrolled in SKILL get first dibs on claiming a spot for the next semester, and they have until the end of the semester to let us know if they plan to return. Once the re-enrollment deadline has passed and we know how many weekly spots are available for the following semester, we will begin working through the waitlist, offering spots to students based on the date their application was received. Some students on the waitlist may not enroll in Auburn University. Some students on the waitlist may decide they are no longer interested in SKILL. Some students on the waitlist may not respond to the offer of a SKILL spot within two weeks.
